About Myself

My name is Graden Benton, and I bring years of experience working in the field of sports and in the communications world. I have had the pleasure of working for communication departments such as Washington State University, Portland Pickles baseball, and currently Eastern Washington University.
From my time spent with the Washington State University baseball program, and Edward R. Murrow School of Communication, I developed necessary skills to be effective in the world of sports environment. Working with staff and players throughout my time as a student manager for the baseball team helped me develop and hone my skills in the areas of organization, communication, and certainly collaboration.
I served as a graduate student communications assistant during my time at WSU, while working on my master’s degree in strategic communication. During this time, I was able to work closely with our Sports Information Office and employees, as well as all the sports at WSU. I was able to work on special projects, website management, and live sporting events throughout my time in the department.
Currently, I am an Athletic Communications Assistant at Eastern Washington University. I am the main media contact for the women’s soccer team, and the men’s and women’s tennis teams. I also am a secondary contact for the football team and help throughout the department as need for other sports.
My mission is to serve any organization and promote them in a organized and timely manner.
